Gaither dropped down to 6-4 on Saturday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They were dealt an 87-53 loss at the hands of the Jesuit Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Tigers are ranked 32nd).

As for Jesuit, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Jesuit's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Caouette, who shot 60% from the field en route to 24 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Deandre Taylor, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Gaither and Booker will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jesuit, they will finish 2025 at home by hosting St. John's Jesuit at 7:45 p.m. on the 29th.
