The Berthold Bombers can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They blew past Westhope/Newburg 48-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Berthold has posted since November 30, 2023.
Several Sioux players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kimberly Tabarez, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Tabarez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Laken Lee, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Berthold's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Westhope/Newburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Berthold does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westhope/Newburg won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood at 5:45 p.m. on January 23rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood is ranked 71st, while Westhope/Newburg is ranked 90th).
