Javier Denson Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Stratford got the W thanks in part to Javier Denson playing the best football he has all season. Denson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards dating back to last season. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.
Denson and Stratford are taking a road trip to square off against Jersey Village at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Denson will face off against Devin Pickney, the Falcons' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Cypress Falls found a leader in Kaleb Burns as the squad took down Cypress Creek on Saturday. Burns did his part (and then some), picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making six total tackles (4.0 for loss) for the 'W'.

Cypress Ridge is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. Tovar and Cypress Ridge will take on Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Austin Alpe Puts an End to Memorial's Losing Streak on Saturday
Memorial's seven-game losing streak dating back to last season is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Austin Alpe. Alpe threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Memorial's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Alpe and Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against Cy-Fair at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
