Clemente dropped their record down to 11-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Amundsen Vikings, falling 19-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Amundsen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by nine runs or more this season.

For Amundsen's part, Allie Reynolds made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Reynolds has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Devin Horrow was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Fiona O'Brien also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Clemente does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amundsen, they have already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Payton College Prep on the 6th.
