Woodlan found their leader in underclassman Shaiden Snyder, who rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Snyder got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible97 yards. DREW FLEEK got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Woodlan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Noble only rushed for 45.
Meanwhile, Heritage owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They blew past Fairfield 21-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
The victory got Woodlan back to even at 1-1. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
