Meanwhile, Northeast Lauderdale pushed their score all the way to 61 last Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Morton 65-61.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Troy Brown, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Clark, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
Southeast Lauderdale's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Northeast Lauderdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
