The Malcolm Clippers stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Nebraska City 64-18 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-5.
Malcolm was led to victory by Abby Zegar and Halle Dolliver. Zegar scored five points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, while Dolliver dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Dolliver has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Mckenna Powell was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Malayna L madsen and Tarryn Godsey certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. L madsen scored nine points, while Godsey scored five points along with six rebounds and five blocks. Godsey hasn't dropped below two blocks for seven straight games.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Nebraska City struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Malcolm racked up 18 assists.
Malcolm has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Nebraska City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Malcolm will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wahoo at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Wahoo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. Nebraska City's road trip will continue as they head out to face Conestoga at 5:45 p.m. on January 26th.
