Lincoln is 9-1 against James Lick since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Lincoln Lions will head out on the road to face off against the James Lick Comets at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Lincoln will be strutting in after a victory while James Lick will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Lincoln has not done well against Monta Vista recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Lincoln walked away with a 73-64 victory over Monta Vista. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lincoln's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mussie Yimer, who scored 29 points. The match was Yimer's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hooks, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to James Lick, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were beaten by Ann Sobrato 71-25 last Monday.
Lincoln now has a winning record of 7-6. As for James Lick, their defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10.
