Oceanside gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Nokomis Warriors 11-0. The Mariners not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024 (when they won 18-3).
Jake Watkinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Watkinson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
