Hanover extended their postseason success on Saturday against Logan/Palco. They managed a 56-51 victory over Logan/Palco. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Braylon Meyn, who posted 23 points and seven rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tanner Bruna was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and three steals.
Despite the loss, Logan/Palco still got an impressive performance from Rhett Kats, who almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 49% of Logan/Palco's points, marking the third time in a row Kats has scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Sparks, who put up nine points.
Hanover's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Logan/Palco, with the defeat, they broke their 20-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-1.
Looking ahead, Hanover will face off against Elyria Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hanover knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Elyria Christian likes a good challenge.
