Putnam County entered their tilt with North Harrison on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Shamrocks with a sharp 21-11 win. The Midgets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Putnam County pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for North Harrison, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Putnam County will head out to face off against Polo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Midgets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Harrison, they will welcome St. Joseph Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
