The Salmen Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 77-44 win over Lakeshore at home. With Salmen ahead 46-21 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Destiny Bennett was her usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Treasure Mccall, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Salmen's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Lakeshore, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salmen will square off against Archbishop Hannan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop Hannan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Lakeshore, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
