Even though the Cindy Avitia Jaguars scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, the Summit Tahoma Tigers still came out on top. Summit Tahoma secured a 68-62 W over the Jaguars. Summit Tahoma pushed the score to 57-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jaguars cut but never quite recovered from.
J Jay was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven steals. Nasser Melhem was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Summit Tahoma has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Cindy Avitia, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Summit Tahoma will head out on the road to square off against the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. University Prep Academy will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
