Martin and Arlington are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2019, but likely not for long. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Despite a strong season so far, Martin has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grand Prairie on Tuesday. Martin has struggled against Grand Prairie recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Arlington's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were the victim of a rough 4-1 loss at the hands of Lamar.
Arlington's goal came courtesy of
Jose Rivera, who's now up to seven this season.
Martin's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-3. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-3.
Martin came out on top in a nail-biter against Arlington when the teams last played back in March of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Will Martin repeat their success, or does Arlington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
