A well-balanced attack led the Key West Conchs over the MAST Academy Makos in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Key West blew MAST Academy out of the water with a 71-42 final score. That 29 points margin sets a new team best for Key West this season.
Leading Key West to victory were Kameron Roberts and James Osborne. Roberts scored 19 points, while Osborne scored 19 points. Osborne has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was DeMarcus Deroche, who scored 11 points.
Key West pushed their record up to 9-8 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for MAST Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Key West won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Palmer Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Palmer Trinity is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.6 points per game.
