ALA - Queen Creek is 0-5 against Saguaro since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The ALA - Queen Creek Patriots will be playing at home against the Saguaro Sabercats at 3:45 p.m. ALA - Queen Creek is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Last Saturday, it was close, but ALA - Queen Creek sidestepped Higley for a 5-3 victory. The five-run effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Juan Pablo Altamirano made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Seth Nielson was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Tayden Brewer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Saguaro earned a 5-1 win over Sunrise Mountain on Wednesday.
Dario LoBianco spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kasen Williams, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Zander Bratspis also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
ALA - Queen Creek pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Saguaro, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.
Saguaro's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: ALA - Queen Creek has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .511.
