The Chancellor Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 25 points or more this season. They blew past Courtland 57-6 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Chancellor has managed all season.
Chancellor was led to victory by Lydia Brockelbank and Kendall Scott. Brockelbank dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Scott scored 15 points along with seven steals. The matchup was Scott's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Caitlyn Lanning was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six assists and five steals.
Chancellor pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Courtland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chancellor will square off against Caroline at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Caroline will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Chancellor is ranked 85th). As for Courtland, they will head out on the road to face off against James Monroe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. James Monroe has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
