The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Duchesne will take on Kanab at home at 3:00 PM on Saturday. Duchesne will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Duchesne brought a two-game winning streak into their contest against Layton Christian Academy last Wednesday; they left with a three-game streak. Duchesne were the clear victor by a 35-6 margin over Layton Christian Academy. That looming 29-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Duchesne yet.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Kanab, and their matchup last Thursday only extended their streak of losses to four. They took a 21-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monticello.
Duchesne's victory lifted them to 6-4 while Kanab's defeat dropped them down to 2-8. In Duchesne's win, sophomore Brock Adams rushed for 91 yards and 1 touchdown and junior Kason Grant punched in 1 rushing TD and accumulated 84 passing yards. We'll see if Kanab have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
