Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Riverside walked away with it. They never let the Quaker Valley Quakers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Quaker Valley's batters probably weren't too happy with Zach Hare, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (he gave up zero walks). Hare has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Riverside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Barber, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Barber is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Dylan Meyer also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Quaker Valley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-7-2 record.
