Caleb Lawson turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two walks surrendered on Thursday. He produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Stewarts Creek is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.

Lawson's strong effort led Stewarts Creek over Rockvale and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stewarts Creek is a perfect 8-0 against Rockvale going back to March of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
