Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the King's Academy Lions, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (49-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the loss, King's Academy still got an impressive performance from Joe Dailey, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown. Dailey was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards.
Dia Bell was a one-man wrecking crew for American Heritage as he threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Brandon Bennett also helped out as he racked up 101 receiving yards.
King's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for American Heritage, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
King's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. American Heritage has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Cardinal Gibbons at 7:30 p.m. on November 24th. Cardinal Gibbons is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
