Volleyball Recap: Laguna Creek Has No Trouble Against Franklin

Laguna Creek not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Franklin Wildcats. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

While Laguna Creek won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-21.

Jake Shipley paced Laguna Creek's offense, picking up 16 kills. Shipley got some help from Aidan Wong and his 25 assists. Gavin Hettrick controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Laguna Creek's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Coming up, Laguna Creek will challenge El Dorado at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin, they will face off against Cosumnes Oaks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
