The Georgetown Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by Dillon on the road and fell 63-26. While losing is never fun, Georgetown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Dillon is ranked 82nd).
Dillon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Khwnylahi Mckinnon, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Mckinnon hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Treasure Davis was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Georgetown dropped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Dillon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Georgetown will head out on the road to face off against Waccamaw at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dillon, they will be playing at home against Loris at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Loris is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
