The South Jones Braves''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They managed a 33-28 victory over North Pike. South Jones' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
When it comes to explaining why North Pike lost, one person who can't be blamed is Xzavion Nunn. Despite the final result, he rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 151 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.7% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Montgomery, who picked up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown.
South Jones' victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for North Pike, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
South Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Pike also has no future games currently scheduled.
