Serra Catholic has gone a perfect 3-0 against Leechburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Serra Catholic will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Monessen on Wednesday. The Eagles blew past the Greyhounds 12-1.

Serra Catholic got a massive performance out of Johanna Domek, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave Domek a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bianca Gajdos, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Serra Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.6.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leechburg). They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over Ellis on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.
Trinity Kimble was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Danica Sopcak was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Talarico, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Serra Catholic's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Leechburg, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Serra Catholic took their win against Leechburg when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-3 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
