The Eldred Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Millbrook/Webutuck at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Millbrook/Webutuck took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Eldred, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, everything went Eldred's way against Onteora as Eldred made off with a 50-30 victory. Eldred pushed the score to 50-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Onteora cut but never quite recovered from.
Eldred's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Koen McGill, who threw for 215 yards and four touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score. Trai Kaufmann was another key contributor, picking up 140 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Millbrook/Webutuck, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They took a 26-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pine Plains/Rhinebeck last Friday.
Eldred's win bumped their record up to 3-3. As for Millbrook/Webutuck, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-6.
Everything came up roses for Eldred against Millbrook/Webutuck in their previous meeting back in September as the team secured a 34-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eldred since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
