Basketball Recap: Corinth Skates Past Lake George with Ease

Corinth hadn't done well against Lake George recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Corinth Riverhawks breezed by the Lake George Lakers to the tune of 69-40. The Riverhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Lake George still got an impressive performance from Max Hohman, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Hohman is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Brown, who posted two points in addition to ten boards and three steals.

Corinth's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Lake George, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corinth will challenge Cambridge at 4:30 p.m. on February 17th. As for Lake George, they will square off against Fort Ann at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
