Charles Henderson made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,448 from 2,796. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 73-6 victory over Headland last week.
The Trojans led 4A Region 2 in scoring this week after putting up 73 points on the Rams.
David Winslet and David Winslet gave Beauregard a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Winslet threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns, while Winslet ran for 76 yards. Teammate Trey Collins added to the ground attack by rushing for 50 yards.
Jake Farmer was the best wideout in the league this week as St. James lost to the Hornets. Farmer racked up two receptions for 97 yards. William Olsey helped St. James' passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.
Sam Moody made the biggest impact on defense this week as Alabama Christian Academy fell to Tallassee. The 5-foot-8 junior recorded one fumble.
Beauregard's Winslet and Collins have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Winslet has thrown for 1113 yards this season, while Collins, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 16 catches for 450 yards. The Eagles' Ricky Solar leads the league in rushing yards with 517.
A big matchup in 4A Region 2 this week will be when the Tigers take on the Trojans. Tallassee is currently in first, while St. James is in fourth.
