Belvidere North is 2-8 against Harlem since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Belvidere North Blue Thunder will head out on the road to take on the Harlem Huskies at 6:30 p.m. Belvidere North will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Belvidere North didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against McHenry, but they still walked away with a 43-38 victory.
Meanwhile, Harlem ended up a good deal behind Hononegah on Friday and lost 60-44.
Harlem's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bo Beehler, who scored 14 points, and Tyce Koerner who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amhaad Heard, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Belvidere North's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Harlem, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-14.
Belvidere North skirted past Harlem 65-63 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Belvidere North since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
