Kieschnick also made seven total tackles, which is notable because Vernon is undefeated when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise. Tyce Payne was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Boyd's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Vernon, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
