They and the Trinity Christian Lions will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Midland Classical Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1185th, while the Lions are ranked 44th).
Last Saturday, Midland Classical Academy came up short against the Panthers and fell 54-45. Midland Classical Academy has struggled against the Panthers recently, as their match on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian came tearing into Saturday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 81-64 victory over Lake Country Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Midland Classical Academy dropped their record down to 7-22 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Trinity Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 29-5 record this season.
Midland Classical Academy took a serious blow against the Lions in their previous matchup back in January, falling 70-28. Can Midland Classical Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
