The Landon Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Episcopal Maroon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Landon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Landon barely beat Bullis the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 8-2 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Matthew Rosner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, James Gibson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. Luke Hibey was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Episcopal came up short against St. Albans on Thursday and fell 6-1. The Maroon have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Episcopal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Truman Albright, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Landon pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1.
Landon skirted past Episcopal 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
