It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sports Leadership & Management had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lancers 93-34 at home. Sports Leadership & Management has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sports Leadership & Management to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel MacGregor, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 assists. MacGregor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Willie Piggott, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Brandon Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Bayshore Christian with points to spare, taking the game 71-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sports Leadership & Management is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Brandon Academy, the win got them back to even at 13-13.
Everything came up roses for Sports Leadership & Management against Brandon Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 80-45 win.
