Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Tamaqua

Tamaqua won the last time they faced Panther Valley, and Millie Black did her part to make sure it happened again. The Tamaqua Blue Raiders simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Panther Valley Panthers 56-24 thanks in part to Black, who went 8 of 12 on her way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Another player making a difference was Leah Black, who posted six points and three steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Tamaqua and bumps their season record up to 17-4. As for Panther Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Tamaqua will look to defend their home court on Monday against North Schuylkill at 7:00 p.m. Tamaqua has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Panther Valley has already played their next contest, a 57-46 loss against Pine Grove on the 31st.
