Fort Gibson extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 4 this week by beating Broken Bow, 44-20. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Tigers.
Fort Gibson was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Savages 44-20. James Singleton's team came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Dawson Floyd and Tad Jackson gave Muldrow a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Floyd threw for 55 yards and two touchdowns, while Jackson ran for 119 yards. Teammate Cason Sparkman added to the ground attack by rushing for 71 yards.
Jace Pitchford provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Poteau beat Stilwell. He completed five passes for 78 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 116 yards. Pitchford's favorite target this week was Jarrett Lowrimore, who caught two passes for 56 yards.
The Bulldogs' Floyd and Colton Keith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Floyd has thrown for 515 yards this season, while Keith, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 17 catches for 216 yards. Roger Barcheers from the Pirates leads the league in rushing with 556 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Poteau takes on the Tigers. As it stands, Greg Werner's team is in third, while Fort Gibson is in first.
Muldrow took down College 73-36 last week, the largest margin of any game. Floyd in the win.
