The Alcoa Tornadoes extended their postseason success on Friday against the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders. Everything went their way against the Highlanders as they made off with a 31-7 win. Alcoa's win was all the more impressive since Gatlinburg-Pittman was averaging only 13.62 points allowed on the season.
Alcoa has yet to lose a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.75 points. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.
Alcoa will take on Giles County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Giles County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Gatlinburg-Pittman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
