Even though the Edison Eagles have not done well against the Memorial Chargers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Edison blew past Memorial 51-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Edison.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antonio Love, who scored four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Johnson, who scored three points along with six rebounds.
Edison is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
Edison will be playing at home against McAlester at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McAlester is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Memorial, Memorial and Will Rogers College will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Will Rogers College focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday.
