Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westview Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 36-34 back in January.
Several Sundevils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Humphrey, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Makai Orje was another key player, putting up 15 points.
Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Westview, the win got them back to even at 14-14.
Mt. Carmel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westview, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-49 defeat against Bishop's on the 18th.
