Baseball Recap: Fremont Wins Going Away Against Weber

Fremont won the last time they faced Weber and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Silverwolves put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 11-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Silverwolves, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Fremont got a great performance from Tad Grange as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Grange has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Owen Simkins was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Chase Jones was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Fremont and bumps their season record up to 13-5. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Weber, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.

Fremont will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
