The Motivation Jaguars came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 49-43 victory over Randolph Vo-Tech. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Motivation has scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Kevin Looney, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Siriman Singare was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Motivation pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Randolph Vo-Tech, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Motivation will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Northeast at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northeast knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Motivation likes a good challenge. Randolph Vo-Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mariana Bracetti Academy at 3:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
