Mead has gone 3-0 against Monarch recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mead Mavericks will square off against the Monarch Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Mead is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Silver Creek: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Mead's way against Silver Creek on Friday as Mead made off with a 65-41 victory. The Mavericks pushed the score to 48-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raptors had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monarch). They enjoyed a cozy 81-67 win over Heritage on Saturday.

Monarch's win came from a few key players Mead will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ryder Hutton, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 19 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Montemayor, who made all 6 shots he took to post 14 points and six rebounds.

Mead pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Monarch, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Mead was able to grind out a solid win over Monarch when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 59-52. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Monarch's Evan Trujillo, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Mead to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
