Cibola waltzed into their match  on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Farmington Scorpions by a score of  8-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  7-2  on April 11th.
 Gabrielle Moncada made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Presley Peek-Ruscetti was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Athena Joyce, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Cibola  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in six consecutive  contests.
Cibola pushed their record up to 21-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Farmington, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12-1 record  this season.
