2A-2 Region II District 5 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Jacksboro was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in 2A-2 Region II District 5.
Nocona extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Ponder, 33-7. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Nocona.
Nocona's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Hayden Hill threw for 66 and one touchdown and Edward Cardoza had 43 yards receiving. On the ground Tate Fenoglio chipped in 253 yards.
Nocona's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Nocona feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Fenoglio has thrown for 261 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Cardoza has 12 catches for 209 yards. Fenoglio also leads the league in rushing with 707 yards.
Henrietta led 2A-2 Region II District 5 in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on Henrietta.
