The Ford Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They lost to Kaufman at home by a decisive 46-27 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ford in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost nine in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kaufman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylee Wrenn, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten steals. Aubre Prox was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Ford has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-22 record this season. As for Kaufman, they pushed their record up to 20-12 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Ford will face off against the Braves at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Community is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Kaufman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Foxes at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Caddo Mills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 850th, while the Lions are ranked 387th).
