The Tri-State Christian Huskies were the 59-52 winner over the Morning Star Academy Mustangs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Tri-State Christian took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morning Star Academy on Monday. Tri-State Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Morning Star Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josiah Curry out in front who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Yowell, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds.
Tri-State Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Morning Star Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Tri-State Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Pathway Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pathway Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Thursday. As for Morning Star Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Rivermont Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
