Two dominant guards in Benny Ambriz and Manno Jenkins are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Casa Roble Rams will face off against the Natomas Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Casa Roble's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 games.
Casa Roble is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They managed a 63-57 win over Ripon Christian.

02/19/25 vs Calaveras | 17 |
Casa Roble got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Moses Oginni out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. The matchup was Oginni's third in a row with at least 15 points. Ace Villegas was another key player, going 8-for-19 en route to 16 points.
Casa Roble smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, Natomas came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 66-53.
Casa Roble better keep an eye on Jenkins. He was instrumental in Natomas' win, putting up 25 points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds. Jenkins continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Alfred Wilkins, who posted 18 points.
Casa Roble is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points over those games. Natomas pushed their record up to 24-7 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Casa Roble has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 21.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Natomas struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Casa Roble skirted past Natomas 56-54 when the teams last played on February 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Casa Roble since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
