Wilkinson County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,165 from 1,454. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 30-0 victory over South Plaquemines last week.
5-foot-10 quarterback Jarvis Warner of Hazlehurst is the league leader in passing yards this season with 704. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Allenzae Staggers. The Wilkinson County star has 18 catches for 369 yards.
The Wildcats led 3A Region 7 in scoring this week by notching 30 points on the Hurricanes.
