The Seton Catholic Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Klahowya Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Seton Catholic will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
Seton Catholic let Fort Vancouver stack five runs on them in the fifth inning on Thursday but luckily Seton Catholic prevailed anyway. The Cougars came out on top against the Trappers by a score of 10-5. Ten seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Kenzie Kuhnhausen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ellie Travalia was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kingsley Williams, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double.
24 must be Klahowya's lucky number: they beat Vashon Island with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 24-2 margin over the Pirates. That 22 run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.
Like Seton Catholic, Klahowya also got a great game from a two-way player: Brooklyn Hart. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Hart has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Aubrey Scholl was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Sawyer Meyer was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Klahowya always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .730. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Seton Catholic pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Klahowya, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8-1.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Seton Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .396. However, it's not like Klahowya struggles in that department as they've averaged .361. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
