Lowellville is preparing for their first  conference matchup of the season  on Monday. They will head out on the road to  square off against  the Mineral Ridge Rams  at 5:00  p.m. Lowellville will be strutting in after a  win while Mineral Ridge will be coming in after a  loss.
While Rockets fans will have to keep waiting for their  squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Saturday's  season opener. Everything went their way against East on Saturday as Lowellville made off with  a  24-7 victory.
 Liam Bartlett was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched two innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run but no hits. Bartlett was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news, Lowellville got a  massive  performance out of  Geno Perry, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Cody Nolfi was another key player,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Lowellville was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East only posted a  batting average of  .267.
 Meanwhile, Mineral Ridge fell victim to Toronto and their airtight pitching crew  on Saturday. They lost  10-0 to the Red Knights.
 Lowellville couldn't quite finish off Mineral Ridge in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024 and fell  2-0. Can Lowellville avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
