Washington Academy will challenge Dexter/Piscataquis on the road at 1:00 PM on Saturday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close contest.
Washington Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Friday. They took their game against Stearns/Schenck 28-20.
Meanwhile, Dexter/Piscataquis had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. They made easy work of Ellsworth/Sumner and carried off a 35-6 win.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Check back in with MaxPreps after the game is over for details.
